Global Terrestrial Network for Permafrost (GTN-P) – Data Platform
The GTN-P Database provides data on the Permafrost Essential Climate Variable (ECV) as defined by the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) under the guidance of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Currently, data on the ECV products Permafrost Temperature (PT) and Active Layer Thickness (ALT) is available. Data on Rock Glacier Velocity (RGV) will follow.
For general information, please visit the GTN-P network website.

Permafrost time series maps derived from satellite data are available from ESA's Permafrost_CCI project. Selected data layers (v4.0 – 1997-2021) provided by AWI, can be added to the map view of the GTN-P database. More information is available in the project viewer and on the project website offering data download.
