Download GTN-P Data

Welcome to the GTN-P data download page. Here you can access and download permafrost data from the Global Terrestrial Network for Permafrost (GTN-P). The data is available in different formats and can be filtered by region, date, and other parameters. We provide (A) official data products, (B) the selection of individual datasets via the download cart, and (C) an API for programmatical data access.

Download Official GTN-P Data Products

GTN-P offers pre-compiled data products for download, containing all the data available in the GTN-P database. These data products are available for different regions and in different formats. Products are updated yearly and come with Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for easy citation. Downloading data products is faster than downloading individual datasets from the cart.

Please note: We are currently calling for active data contribution to the GTN-P database. Once sufficient new data has been collected and quality-checked, the data products will be made available in this section of the website.

Download GTN-P Data via API

GTN-P data can also be accessed programmatically via an Application Programming Interface (API). This allows for automated data retrieval and integration into your application or analyses. The API supports various query parameters to filter and retrieve data according to your needs and is built with FastAPI.
